AI-powered collaboration makes teamwork faster 🏎️ and more creative than ever 🌶️
🤝 Collaboration is at the heart of filmmaking. Whether you’re working with actors, fellow editors, or producers, the key to a successful project is seamless teamwork; the key to seamless teamwork is understanding.
I’ve found that AI can help and even enhance collaboration. For my graduation project I painstakingly created a storyboard using #Lego, a project which in itself took hours.
Recently, I used some new AI tools to streamline feedback during work with my DOP. Even with the storyboard, we sometimes still struggled to get our ideas across to each other. If only you could see into another person's imagination! 💭
Using AI to generate short, animated snippets allowed me to quickly showcase my shot ideas in ways you previously had to invest so much time into for testing. You can check out one such example below. While it obviously isn't perfect, it definitely showcases the essence of what I wanted to convey.
The time saved on technical delays meant we could focus more on refining the creative aspects together. What I love most about using AI in this context is how it bridges the gap between different team members’ ideas. By quickly generating multiple versions of a scene or cut, AI enables us to experiment with different creative approaches without starting from scratch.
It’s an exciting time to be in the creative industry, where human ingenuity and AI collaboration can co-exist so smoothly!
